Topic outline

  • This specific topic of the course tackles the following learning outcome:

    • The student can discuss the biological effects and safety issues of radio waves.

    This topic will be performed independently in an electronic workshop (find the workshop activity below). The task consist of two phases: 1) reading the document and submission of tasks  (1-15 February) and 2) assessment of the fellow student submissions (15-28 February).

    In order to perform the workshop, you must meet the first DL on 15 February at 20. The second DL takes place on 28 February at 20.

    You may earn up to six (6) exercise points (value of two regular exercise problems) in this workshop. The submission phase is three points and the assessment phase also three points. 

    To put it simple: start the workshop by reading the document "Radio waves and our environment" by Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority of Finland (STUK). You need to master the content of the document before performing the actual asks.
