Instructions for the Short Film Project
You will be working on a short film as a group of 3-5 persons.
The aim of this final assignment of the course is to
- produce (plan, shoot, edit, and deliver) a short film, 2-15 minutes (excluding credits) and
- write an accompanying synopsis of 600-800 words.
General guidelines for the film
The film should last from 2 to 15 minutes (excluding credits).
The film should be about a chosen theme related to work. Topics of the films can be related to the topics/themes addressed during the course or to other complementary topics/themes.
The final assignment has low/moderate expectations concerning technical solutions and quality.
You can decide the type of film you wish to make. It can be fiction, documentary, experimental, film-essay, visual poem, or other.
Reflection papers and group assignment during the course will help you create your film.
General guidelines for the synopsis
Gives an account of your theme/topic and reflection of your choices.
Discusses what you want to say about work in relation to the course’s themes.
Discusses how you explore work in your film.
