    How to login to Zoom with Aalto Account?

    1. Download and install Zoom using zoom.us/download
    2. Go to the web address aalto.zoom.us 
    3. Log in with your Aalto email and password. 

    Steps (2.) and (3.) mean you are logged in through your Aalto account rather than a basic/free account. Basic account allows you to be logged in for a limited time only. Aalto account means Zoom functions better. 


    How to share your slides?

    1. In your controls at the bottom of the Zoom window, click Share Screen.
    2. Select the screen/view you want to share.
    3. Remember to stop sharing when you have finished your presentation. (While you are sharing your screen, you are not visible.)


    How to see the chat on Zoom?

    1. In your controls at the bottom of the Zoom window, click Chat. 
    2. You can type your message into the chat window and press Enter to send your message. (Chat is useful if there are technical difficulties.)


    Zoom Etiquette:

    1. Keep your audio on mute when you’re not talking. (That decreases the background noise.)
    2.  Use headphones. (That helps with the problem of nasty feedback echoes.)



    Some other tips:
    • Quit all unnecessary softwares on your computer.
    • It's good to save your presentation as a pdf file. The presenter option in slideshow doesn't work the best.
