      Please submit your 1-2 page research plan here. Please write your research plan in English. In addition to a preliminary title of your thesis, the suggested outline of your research plan is:

      1. Motivation (why do you find it important to study the topic, theoretical & managerial motivation)

      2. Topic area and specific research problem(s)/question(s)

      3. Objectives of your research

      4. Examples of important previous research articles on the topic and/or main theory to be used. Use full citation of the example articles (author(s), year, article title, journal name, volume/number, pages)

      5. Methodology (e.g. a literature review, case study, survey,…)

      6. Tentative table of contents

      Possible reference list (for references used in the plan)

      Please name your submitted document in following way:
      Your name - research methodology - Research Fields - Preferred Supervisor
      • Research methodology: Survey, case study, interview, literature review, etc
      • Research Fields: MS (short for management science), ISS (short for information systems science) or LO (short for Logistics)
      • Preferred Supervisor: RH (short for Riitta Hekkala), YL (short for Yong Liu) or BRU (short for Bikesh Raj Upreti)
      For instance, for a student (name: ABC DEF) who plans to write a thesis in the field of logistics and use survey as research methodology and prefer Bikesh as supervisor, the file should be named as: ABC DEF-survey-LO-BRU.doc(x)
