Topic outline

  • There has been some confusion concerning the seminar topics for the presentation. You should choose the seminar topic to reflect what you are interested in or what you find useful for future. If you already know or have a rough idea of your Master’s thesis topic, something related to that would be beneficial for you, too. The topic can thus be almost anything, as long as it is related to synthesis and something recent. You can choose a chemical reaction, synthesis of certain kinds of compounds, synthetic technology (like microwaves, flow chemistry, photochemistry, etc). The seminar presentation should be roughly about 20 minutes long - that is about 15 to 20 slides. You should also prepare a portfolio: in this case the portfolio is just a collection of the literature you have used for the presentation. If you have doubts about the topic, send me an email and I can help you was that with that. Also, the actual seminar presentations (as videofiles) you should send them to me by the end of March, if you want comments before the seminar day on the 7th of April.
