    The resources for the 1st week (calendar week 37) of the course

    The main thing for the first week is getting the studies on operating systems started.

    • There was an opening lecture on Monday morning
      • The lecture focused on course organization, but it also discussed computers and operating systems in general
      • If you did not attend the lecture, the lecture slides are in MyCourses (Section Materials)
    • The coursework will concentrate on material and exercises on the A+ learning platform (the link is below)
      • There are exercises to be done (first deadline 2020-09-21)
      • If you have not used A+ before, check the instructions below and get familiar with the platform

    About the materials and exercises on course A+
    • The readings are mostly guidance
      • You will need also other sources of information
    • A+ support automatic grading and feedback
      • You submit your answer and the system automatically gives you a grade
      • Note that the number of submissions is limited

    Specifically about the first round
    • The grading is strict (basically: right or wrong per question)
      • So, read the questions carefully, read specifications carefully and check our answers before submitting
