Osion kuvaus

  • An introduction to each assignment and associated software takes place in Teams, please see the course front page for times. The software can be remotely accessed in Maari-C: https://www.aalto.fi/en/services/remote-access-to-windows-classroom-computers. Note: Each time after signing-in to the remote Windows session, you have to wait 2 minutes before starting any software. Otherwise your profile is not loaded and you may run into trouble.

    You can also download and install the needed software on your own computer:

    - OpenSolver from here: https://opensolver.org/installing-opensolver/

    - Matlab can be downloaded from Aalto self-service portal

    - For CPLEX, Google "IBM CPLEX Optimization Studio student download" and take the necessary steps

    • Submit your model and data files with your report!

      This exercise (and assignment) is intended to be done using Microsoft Excel Solver optimization Add-in or OpenSolver: https://opensolver.org/. Use of the latter is highly recommended. It reads the Microsoft Solver model.

      Submit your Excel model together with the report.

      You can find your group (and data) number beside your study book number in the assignment data file. For a group of two students, select the first in the list.
