  • Week 11: Undirected graphical models (Chapter 13)

Lecture: We will talk about undirected graphical models during the last two lectures. In this lecture, we will define the pairwise and global Markov property for an undirected graph, and define what it means that a density factorizes according to a graph. Then we will discuss the Hammersley-Clifford theorem which explains the equivalence of the pairwise Markov property and the factorization according to a graph.
