    •       Alex Jung  alex.jung@aalto.fi

Alex is an Assistant Professor for Machine Learning at the Department of Computer Science at Aalto University. He is leading the group "MachineLearning for Big Data" which     studies theoretic foundations and efficient methods for machine learning from massive amounts of data (big data). His current research focus is on methods for networked data that arise in application domains such as the internet of things, power grids, or social networks. He is passionate about teaching the basic principles of machine learning.

    • mikko     Mikko Salervo mikko.salervo@aalto.fi

Mikko is studying applied mathematics and has therefore broad expertise in linear algebra, optimization, and statistics. Moreover, he is also well-versed in Python for  scientific programming. His background allows him to provide excellent support for students learning machine learning with Python.

    •       Shamsi Abdurakhmanova  shamsiiat.abdurakhmanova@aalto.fi

Shamsi has jus finished her  Ph.D. study in neuroscience at the University of Helsinki. Her research revolves around understanding of animal behavior based on the underlying neural circuits. She is interested in applying machine learning to biology for the benefit of humankind.
