  During the course, each group will tackle a challenge provided by a company or an organisation. There will be around 3 groups working with the same challenge descriptions. The challenges will be presented on Monday 7.6. at 13:00 EEST +3. Challenge descriptions will also be published to MyCourses the same day.

  
  

  Groups for the Project Work

  
  

  After the challenge presentations on Monday, you are asked to form groups. We’ll open up groups in MyCourses on Monday 7.6. at 16:00 (EEST +3), to which you can then join via the group selection tool down below. You may form groups with friends or join any group that has space. Note that the size of the groups will be limited.

  We have also created a chat room for each of the groups. These can be seen only by those who are a part of a certain group. You can discuss your group work here, but we suggest you to find a platform that suits your group the best.

  Mentoring and Challenge Owner meetings for the Project Work

  
  

  There will be 30-minute mentoring and challenge owner meetings arranged for every challenge group. The challenge owner meeting times are sent to you via email. The mentoring sessions can be booked here: https://forms.gle/4ZuTMMxgfZitQkcb8

  Two people from your group must be present in the mentoring and meetings. In these, there will only be you and the mentor, so no other fasilitator. We ask you to be on your best behaviour and use the time wisely. We hope that you’ll prepare questions that you wish answers to from the professionals.

  Pitching the Project Work

  
  

  There will be two rounds of pitching during the course, one each Friday. The first round of pitching is mostly to see that everyone has gotten their project running and that you’ll get some practise for the final pitches at the end of the course. The challenge owners will be present in the second round of pitching, but not in the first.

  Each group has 5 minutes time time to present their solution on the first round of pitching and 7 minutes on the second round of pitching. This time and the pitching order will be published in more precise terms at latest on Wednesday 8.6. when the groups are formed. We will be strict about the pitching time and when the time is up, we will cut short. This is so that every group will have equal time and we won't run late on our schedule.

  The slides for the second round of pitching have to be uploaded to MyCourses on Friday 18.6. prior to the pitches. The second round of pitching will be recorded, so that the challenge owners can revisit them when it comes to giving the feedback.

  If you are not enrolled at any Finnish university and do not have a Finnish personal-ID, this information concerns you.

  After the challenge presentations on Monday 8.6., we ask you to fill in the questionnaire below with your top three hopes for the challenge, at latest at 18:00 EEST +3. Your challenge group will be given your email address in order to get in contact with you – please let us know if you wish to be contacted in some other way. If you wish to be in the same group with someone, please let us know about that in the email as well. We’ll try to respect everyone's wishes to the best of our abilities.
