Topic outline

  • Please find below the list of project topics (by collaborating companies) available to the course. You can start exploring them and looking for an interesting topic for you and for your team. You can also find a client company and topic on your own (However, since we have so many topics already available, this is not needed or recommended).

DO NOT CONTACT THE COMPANIES BEFORE THE FIRST LECTURE! YOU WILL BE SIGNING A NDA FOR THE PROJECT WORK, SO DO NOT SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT TOPICS OUTSIDE PARTICIPANTS OF THIS COURSE.

There is some flexibility when it comes to the topic, but it should at least contain the following elements:

    • Focus on study of market, customers, users, partners or other external parties
    • typically related to launching new or improving existing business model / product / service, or entering a market
    • typically involves analysis of customer or market characteristics, assessment of business potential, and/or identification of value for customers or partners
    • no internally-oriented or process improvement projects
    • no generic study of trends or current topics
    • Includes collection and analysis of primary data (usually through surveys or interviews) from sources external to the company
    • Is feasible within the time and resource constraints

If you find a company yourself please send a project description to course staff to make sure the project fits the requirements (see Information for companies document under Materials).

If you own a share or work yourself for the company that you would like to do a project for, please be in contact with the course teachers so that we can ensure together that there is no conflict of interest.
