Topic outline

  • Welcome to the Electromechanics Lab. Here you can find all the information concerning the laboratory works. There will be two lab tasks, Transformer and Induction Motor. Each lab has 20% weightage to your course grade. Students who are taking the course from abroad will have separate simulation assignments in place of the labs.

Our laboratory is located at Otaakari 5L. See the map below.

      Hi,

Here you can choose a Group out of the 9 available slots. Maximum 4 persons per group. The lab session will be on 15.10, 18.10, and 20.10.2021. There will be three slots available per day (9:00 -11:00; 12:00-14:00; 14:00-16:00). Choose a group by 14.10.2021, and choose groups to fill the maximum (4) number. If there are groups with less than 4 members, we will have to re-arrange them.

Students who are participating in the course from abroad do not need to choose a group, as they will have a Simulation assignment instead of Laboratory work.

Note: If none of these three dates are suitable (because of travel or other urgencies), we could make ONE additional session at a later date for those students if there is a minimum of 3 (max 4). Send an email in that case.

When you arrive at the lab entrance, you can call either me or Terry to get in.

See the attached pdf for instructions about the transformer lab, and pre-report questions.

All students are required to submit individual pre-report (the same report for those who are taking the physical lab and those who are doing the simulations).

Submit the Transformer lab final report here. One report is enough per group for the laboratory work. Include the names and student numbers of all members in the report.

Thosee who are doing the simulation assignment, submit individual reports.

The deadline for both is 03.11.2021
