    Why this module?

    The first module is about enhancing your understanding of how mechanical engineering connects to a grander scheme, and identifying connections that you are enthousiastic about personally and wish to explore further.

    What sessions do we offer?

    1. 'Lecture Week 1. Societal linkages': Hearing from industry representatives about societal linkages; then apply this to your company case (Friday 17 September)
    2. Pitching workshop with the Language Center: Why and how would you like to contribute to your company case as an effective and impactful engineer? ('Book a Pitching workshop (Language Center)')

    How to pass this module?

    1. Attend the lecture and choose a time in week 2 that suits you for the pitching workshop (book before Friday 17 September 9am)
    2. Submit 'Quiz Week 1.' (before Friday 17 September 9am)
    3. Submit 'Feedback Week 1. Societal linkages' (before Friday 24 September 9am)
    4. Submit 'Homework Week 1. PESTEL Analysis' (before Friday 24 September 9am)
    5. Submit 'Quiz Week 2.' (before Friday 24 September 9am)
    6. Submit 'Feedback Week 2. Pitching workshops' (before Friday 1 October 9am)

      During Module 1 and 2 you will work on one of the four company cases. Which case you choose is up to you. In Quiz Week 1 you will be asked to choose one of the cases. Make sure to study all case descriptions prior to doing Quiz Week 1.
