    Welcome!

Selectivity in Organic Synthesis -course consists of 4 main units, each dealing important organic chemistry reactions which are (regio-/diastereo-/enantio)selective.
After the course student will be able to

    • predict and explain the reactivity of chiral carbonyl compounds
    • predict and explain stereoselective aldol reaction
    • explain how intramolecular interactions affect the reactivity and stereoselectivity
    • propose suitable reactions to form E/Z olefins and how they react in stereospecific and -selective manner
    • make molecules by pericyclic reactions
    • propose how to synthesize chiral organic molecules
    • name some chiral pool molecules and knows about chiral catalysis
