Topic outline

In this module, we'll cover design thinking tools for understanding user, customer and stakeholder needs and uncovering new opportunities for value creation. To bring this to life, we'll have the Communications Manager of Betolar, Melina Pinomaa, visit our class to talk about identifying value for different stakeholders of the company's low-carbon alternative to cement. In addition, we'll start working on the cases you have chosen.
If you would like to learn more about the visiting case, Betolar, take a look at the 2021 Helsingin Sanomat article "Sementti on lentämistä suurempi ilmastopahis ja nyt sille on vaihtoehto" (in Finnish) or the Sitra 2021 case on Betolar (in English).
