    If the requirements of the school allow it, some of the lessons as well as the exam will take place at the university premises.

    Course completion:

    • attending the lessons (36 h), absence of max. 25% times allowed, active participation (10%)
    • group work and assignments (40 %) 
    • presentations 31.3.2022 (3 min/person) (10 %)
    • oral exam (10%)
    • final exam at the university premises 7.4.2022 (written exam) (30 %)

    Upon completing the course, you will:

    - be able to introduce yourself briefly and say something about your family, language(s), and nationality
    - recognize and understand some Chinese culture
    - know the basics of pronunciation and intonation as well as some basic grammar and structures of Chinese
    - distinguish about 150 characters 


    Chinese Characters

    There will be only one lecture for Chinese Characters 1, which is on Tuesday, 18.01.2022, 08.00–09.30. The lecture is optional, but recommended for those who have never learned Chinese Characters. Although it is marked as a lecture course in SISU, it is a self-study course. The material for the characters course will be provided by the teacher. 

    If you do not need a grade/study points for this course, attendance is not important. In that case, please inform the teacher of the course in advance.
