    In this first section, you will get an overview of Aalto University and the Mikkeli Campus.

    First, you can look at practical information about the campus through an introduction video. With that, you deepen your understanding of what kind of environment awaits you and how to work on the campus. After that, you can take a closer look at what kind of university Aalto is and what study opportunities it offers. In the end, you'll get to know the Code of Conduct and how we work together.

    Completion time: Approximately 15 minutes

    • You have a basic understanding of how to move around campus and what premises you can use
    • You know the different schools in Aalto
    • You know on a general level what units Aalto consists of
    • You know what kind of conduct is expected of you and know how to proceed if you notice inappropriate behavior.

    The Orientation week is a period before the start of the academic year which will be starting on 22 August. During this week students have the opportunity to get to know the campus and learn more about the studies in the BScBA Programme. Additionally, students will get to meet other students before starting their studies on campus. For more information check Into.

    Please note that students must attend the orientation week on August 22-26, as the Orientation to University Studies course starts at the beginning of the week.

    From this page you can find orientation material meant for the master's level degree students and for the exchange students in the School of Chemical Engineering (you can only see the material based on the group you chose when entering the pre-orientation space).

    You will receive the schedule of the orientation week and instructions on how to take part by email.

    If you are a bachelor degree student at Aalto University, you can find the materials from the CHEM-A1000 Korkeakouluopiskelun ABC -course. 

    Remember to complete the CHEM-E0140 Laboratory Safety online course, it is obligatory for all students in CHEM! Register for the course in Sisu and then complete it here.
