Welcome to the 2023 Advanced Geodesy Course!

This year the advanced geodesy course is divided into three parts:

A: Physical geodesy, where you will the learn of basic theory related to gravity, gravity measurements, global gravity models, geoid models and other applications of gravimetry

B: Space geodesy, where you will learn about orbits and celestial mechanics, satellite laser ranging (SLR) and very long baseline interferometry (VLBI)

    C. Observations & applications, where you will learn about Altimetry and hear more about applications of geodesy in ocean and glacier studies as well as solid Earth studies

The course will consists of lectures, assignments, quizzes and a written literature report.
