    • Exams last for 3 hours, although 2 hours should usually be enough for the well-prepared. Calculators are allowed, computers are not.

      Notice that some exams were take-home "open book" exams due to the pandemic. (Open book = with access to notes and other materials.) This is pointed out on the first page of the exam. Usually the exam is in class and "closed book". This shows up in the structure of the exam and in the types of questions.
