Topic outline

  • During the course, students work in teams and ideate sustainability solutions and design concepts around the theme of food system sustainability. More specific themes will be added before course beginning and teams are structured as the course starts.

    Important dates (see further instructions in Assignments):
    • Case and theme introduction on Thursday 12.1.
    • Idea presentations on Tuesday 24.1.
    • Concept posters uploaded by Friday 10.2. noon (12:00)!
    • Final presentations on Tuesday 14.2. 
    • Discussing results 16.2.

    Disclaimer about students' rights to work:
    • The course Design approaches to sustainable consumption (later Course) contains group assignments in which students teams product results (later Results) for which they have the sole rights. Results include all material that is submitted as group assignments at the Course.
    • Researchers of the ORSI project receive the right to present the Results in the project public events and in private interviews during the year 2023.
    • Researchers of the ORSI project commit to communicate that students have the rights to the Results.
    • Any further use of the Results is not governed by this agreement.
    • Students agree with these conditions by submitting Results at the course MyCourses page. If you do not agree with these conditions, please ask for an alternative submission mode from the responsible teacher of the Course (Tatu Marttila).
