    • Exercises and problem sets of this course:

Each group has two exercise sessions a week. In the first part of each session, the students will present their solutions to last session's homework, and the latter part includes in-class problems which are worked through together during the session. By attending a session you get 2 points. By marking that you have completed the homework and that you are willing to present it, you will get 2+2 points (there are two homework problems).

That is, you do not have to submit your solutions to the homework problems! Your solutions do not have to be perfect either, it is enough if you have given a good effort to solve them. Each student who marks that they have completed the homework problems, will get full points. Then one of those students is chosen randomly to present their solution, and the teaching assistant will help if there are some issues in the solution.

    • Exercise groups

The course has 14 exercise groups. Register to only one of them!

    • Exercise points

The exercise and attendance points can be found in ppp.

    • How to present your solution:

      Provide explanations for your solutions/calculations.

The final result (a number) is less important than the reasoning and methods used to reach it.

Write your answer as if you were writing to a fellow student, not assistant or lecturer.

It is okay to make mistakes! Do not be afraid to present your solutions.

If you can't attend some of the exercise rounds, for example due to sickness or some other good reason.

You can still earn homework and attendance points, if

      (1) you inform your group TA about the absence beforehand
      (2) send well written solutions to the homework and in-class problems to your group TA before the exercise session starts
