      Welcome to Weeks 5 & 6!

These are the final weeks for the TAs and OAs.

For the OA part, this means, you will complete your OA4, your pitch and reflect on and evaluate the OA part.
First, you'll post your rehearsal pitch, if you haven't done so already. Then, you will provide peer feedback on your peer's video and make use of peer feedback to produce a final, revised version of your own elevator pitch video in OA4c. Note that you give (and receive) feedback both in the Panopto video directly and on a separate form that you upload to the forum (OA4b).

In the text book project, this week and next week, you will work with one chapter of your book (this can be a new chapter or one you have already worked with in the course). Complete TA5 first.  After that you can continue to TA6, which builds on TA5. TA7 asks you to look back on the textbook project and reflect on it.

Please note that you can complete the remaining TAs assignments ahead of schedule if you wish, and the OAs as soon as you have received teacher feedback on OA2, and OA3 and peer feedback on OA4a. If you need your grade urgently for graduation purposes, you should have already notified me by the end of week 3 who your Study Advisor is and by when you need your grade. If not, please let me know a.s.a.p.

If you cannot find what you are looking for or have any questions, please don't hesitate to turn to your teacher!

      This and next week's assignments

      • TA5 - Reflection: Summarizing, originality check; formality (due Monday, 25.3, 9.00 am)
      • TA 6 -  Summary (due Thursday, 4.4, 9.00 am)
      • TA7 - Reflection (due Thursday, 4.4, midnight)

      • OA4c - Elevator pitch part 3 - revised version/final version (due Wednesday, 27.3, 9.00 am)
      • OA5 - Reflection statement (due Wednesday, 27.3, 11.00 am)
      • Course feedback and evaluation (due Friday, 5.4, 9.00 am)
      • Aalto feedback. If you wish to receive activity points for it, please respond by 5.4, unless otherwise agreed.
(Some questions overlap: copy-save-to-paste your answers if you like. The Webropol feedback is not passed on to the teacher unless at least five participants submit it. The general tendency at Aalto seems to be that students don't fill it out. This is a pity because it gives the admin a skewed view of the course and us teachers less information. The feedback and evaluation activities are important, so please complete them :) Thank you in advance! -Jenni)
