Note: The topic is the design that your team is working on for the ELEC-9801 course. However, this is an individual task, so you will all write your own design proposal even if the topic is the same for all your team members.

Writing an introduction to your design proposal

      Length: 150-250 words

      Pattern: problem-solution

The introduction is one paragraph where you provide the following information:

Situation: Provide wider context and relevance of the topic Name your client to whom you are suggesting this design proposal. Explain the client’s present situation or current practices.

Problem: State what is lacking/needed/unsatisfactory in their current situation?

Solution: Give a name to your design that you recommend and link it to the identified problem or need.

Evaluation: Identify the main benefit that justifies the new solution.

At the end of your text, include a list of references to sources you have used to find the information

Submit your text to the discussion forum under this task by 12 pm on Oct 30 We'll be doing peer feedback in that class and it is half of the grade, so if you miss it, you will not be able to get full points for this task.
