      Write a short (about 100 words) text about your day in Finnish. 

      - Tell first a little about yourself.
      - Describe then your day: what do you do in the morning, during the day, in the evening. 

      - Any pictures, photos, illustartions are more than welcomed! :)

      You can use the verb "käydä" + missä
      > Minä käyn kaupassa. 

      You can use the verb "mennä" + mihin
      > Minä menen kauppaan.

      Please write the text yourself. Try to avoid using translators, and use dictionaries instead.

             

      Moikka! Mun nimi on Beyza. Minä olen kaksikymmentäkuusi vuotta. Minä olen turkkilainen. Olen maisteriopiskelijan Aalto Yliopistossa. Minä asun Helsingissä. Minä puhun turkkia, englantia ja vänhän saksaa ja suomea. Minulla on nyt kaksi kurssi. Minä herään usein puoli kuusi aamulla. Minä syön leipää ja juusto aamulla. En syö kakku. Juon kahvia joka aamu. Minä opiskelen suomea minun intensiivikurssi. Mä katson telkkaria ja pelaan illalla. En pelaa yöllä. Nukun usein puoli yksi tai tasan yksi yöllä.

      Lauantaina mä käyn Cafe Regatta kahvilassa. Juon kaakao ja syön kakkua. Cafe Regatta aukee tasan kahdeksan ja  menee kiinni  kello kaksikymmentäyksi (21) joka päivä.

      Make a submission

      Write a short (80-150 words) text in English reflecting your language learning process. You can answer these questions, but you don't have to answer all of them.

      1) How well do you think you know the topics we have covered so far: greetings, numbers, asking and answering questions, conjugating verbs, telling about your day? Which of the things you think you know well, which require more practise?

      2) Reflect the text writing process: How much did you use materials (the course book, dictionaries...) when writing it?

      3) Reflect speaking: How do you find speaking Finnish overall? Do you feel comfortable with the pronunciation? Do you get to practise speaking Finnish in your daily life? Where?

      4) Is it easy for you to follow the lessons in the classroom? Can you keep up with the speed?

      5) Are you happy with your study efforts so far? Have you had enough time to complete homework exercises?

      6) Have you used the structures and vocabulary you have learnt in the course in your everyday life? If not, why?

      You can also write any wishes about study contents or methods. The task won't be graded.

      Shoot a short video (1-2 min.) on MyCourses.

      1. Tell about yourself: name, where you are from, which city do you live in, the languages you speak, etc...

      2. Rehearse your speech and use just a list of key words when recording (this way it sounds more natural). Don't just read a text aloud!

      3. Open the assignment below and record the video by clicking the video camera symbol on the right side of the toolbar. (You can delete the video as many times as you wish and submit the one that you are satisfied with.)

      4. You can freely choose whether you use written language or spoken language or both.

      1) Imagine that you are going to rent out your own apartment/room for the upcoming ski holiday. Write a short description about your place in Finnish. 

      - Use housing vocabulary: rooms, furniture. 

      - You also have to use the possessive structure and existential clause (Asunnossa on huonekalut, mutta ei ole saunaa.) in positive and negative form. Tell where your place is, how many rooms you have, what do you have in your rooms. 

      2) Think of and write something creative that makes others choose/rent YOUR APARTMENT/ROOM.

      3) Add  a photo/photos of your apartment too.

      Write about 100 words.

      Esimerkki 1

      Hei, vuokrataan yksiö Matinkylässä. Asunto on 24.5 m2 ja se on Iso Omenan vieressä. Asunto on ihan kodikas ja nätti. Se on kerrostalossa, 3.kerros.

      Minulla on keittiö ja olohuone  ja mulla ei ole makuuhuone.

       Keittiössä on jääkaappi, ja hella, mutta ei ole pakastinta. Olohuoneessa on vaatekaappi ja patja, ei muuta. Kylpyhuoneessa on vessanpönttö, suihku ja lavuaari. Olohuoneessa on myös iso ikkuna.  Lattia on valkoinen. Vuokra on kaksisataa euroa per viikko, joka on erittäin hyvä hinta tästä asunnosta.

      Asut Espoossa, mutta voi käydä metrolla Helsingissä. Matka on noin 15 minuuttia. Metro on nopea.

      Esimerkki 2

      Tervetuloa! Asun yksiössä. Minun asunto on 21m2. Tämä asunto on kerrostalossa. Valitettavasti hissiä ei ole. Kerrostalo on kaunissa Espoossa. Asunnossa on olohuone,makuuhuone (sama), kylpyhuone ja keittö.

      Minulla ei ole sohavaa ja televisiota.

      Minulla on yksi kodikas sänky, yksi iso pöytä, kaksi tuolia ja kaksi lamppua. Sängyllä on kakis tyynyä, ja väri on keltainen ja musta. Keitössä on hella ja jääkaappi. Minulla on monta lautasta ja kuppia. Sinä kokata lounas ja päivällinen täällä. Kylpyhuoneessa on suihku, lavuaari ja vessanpönttö. Sinä näet metsä ja valtameri koska Ikkunat ovat isot.

      Asunto on Otaniemissä. Vuokra on 30 euroa joka päivä.
