LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. develop an understating of various Data types from everyday use.

2. develop skills to visualize data.

3. learn the process of information design.

4. learn the user-centered design approach for information design.

5. learn to create explorative data visualizations

Content

    The course introduces the concepts and processes of information design. It covers aspects of understanding data, learning various methods of data collection, structuring data, and visualizing data to make meaning in a context. This course will introduce a wide variety of information design applications and prepare students to critically analyze and develop creative information visualizations.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Participation in teaching, and completing assignments.
