LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the course, the students are familiar with modern tools and frameworks for building real-time audio signal processing applications and can implement audio plug-ins such as sound synthesis and effect units for standard interfaces such as VST.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Advanced course which gives hands-on experience on programming real-time audio signal processing systems. The basic module of 3 ECTS consists of smaller assignments and a small project whereas for 5 ECTS there is also a larger individual project. Both the assignments and projects will be implemented in C++, but the course will start with an introduction to C++ such that basic programming skills are sufficient programming background for this course.
