LEARNING OUTCOMES

Understanding the central functional, architectonic and technical  principles of the design of public buildings and societal questions related to the public buildings. Becoming familiar with the topical design concept. The theme of the lectures varies each year according the topic of Building design studio group of Autumn Studio.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The lectures are related to building design in general and to theme of the parallel Building Design Studio ARK-E1020 specifically. The topic of the design studio varies each year. The topics and specific emphasis of the lectures will be adjusted accordingly. Due to the varying topics the lecture series may be attended more than once.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Lecture attendance (min. 80%) and a learning diary (pass/fail).

Workload
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Lectures and a reflective lecture diary = 80 h (3 cr)

    • Lectures and reflection = 24 h
    • Lecture diary = 56 h
