ELO-E1030 - Master's Thesis Seminar 1, Film, 11.9.2023-29.4.2024

At least 80% participation in face-to-face teaching is mandatory to complete the course. We have seven annual meetings, so you can skip one session without having to complete an additional assignment. If you have missed more than one session, please choose and complete one (or some) of the following exercises. You should do one additional exercise for each session you miss, counting from the second missed session onwards. Please return the assignment or assignments to the designated folder on the MyCourses page. Please submit the additional assignments by 10.05.2024.

1.     In one page, write a comprehensive action plan outlining the steps you are planning to take to successfully complete your master's degree. You can periodically review and update the action plan as you progress through your studies.

2.     Compose a reflective 500-700 words essay detailing your experiences and progress throughout this academic year. Which phase are you in right now? What do you need? You can use your reflections and goals to inform discussions with your thesis supervisor.

3.     Create a free-form mind map for your research idea. You can use digital tools or analog methods, whichever you prefer. Once completed, please submit a picture of your mind map. Mind maps help you organize information visually, they assist the understanding of relations and patterns and foster creative thinking.
