The function of the analysis task is to support the design task by gathering background information about the site and similar projects. The emphasis is on imagining which kind of possibilities for new construction and life these create.

B. Benchmark analysis
Reference projects and their ideas' applicability (5-25 slides): after initial study of all benchmark areas and their concepts' applicability to your site, select 1-3 suitable projects from this list. Pay attention not only to physical construction and their types, but also programmatic urban renewal strategies, e.g. communality, developments of public space etc.
