Write an essay on the
relationship between art and science from a perspective of your own choice. Build your discussion especially on the lectures 10 (Art and Science) and 12 (Interdisciplinarity and Transdisciplinarity), but you can also reflect on what you have learned and what kind of thought you have had during the entire course.
Some possible perspectives to the topic include:
- Art as an object of research – and what is the role of artistic research in this?
- What can art tell that science cannot? Or the other way around?
- How can art and science collaborate?
- What is the “scientific status” of artistic research?
- Are there analogies between doing science and creating art?
- Are there some key differences between science and artistic research?
