Substitute assignment: a contact teaching session missing

Completion requirements
Due: Friday, 5 May 2017, 11:55 PM

This is a substitute assignment if you have missed one contact session day. You can write your solution either in Finnish or in English:

1. Re-read Chapter 2 from Biggs and Tang

Chapter 2, "Teaching according to how students learn", p. 16-33.

The e-book is available by Aalto Library (max 6 simultaneous Aalto users). You may even download parts of that as PDF and print up to 100 pages, e.g., Chapter 2. Paper copies are available by request as well. This was the chapter of the Learning Assignment #1.

2. Go through Chapter 4 (pages 34-55)  from Hyppönen, O., Lindén, S. Handbook for teachers - course structures, Teaching methods and assessment. Link to the English version  http://urn.fi/URN:ISBN:978-952-60-3035-7 or the Finnish version http://urn.fi/URN:ISBN:978-952-248-063-7

3. Pick one method from the book (there are altogether 41 options) which you may have used, you have experience from your own studies, or you are interested in and use Biggs & Tang chapter in order to reflect levels of learning, learning approaches and the chosen method. You can also integrate practical examples from various teaching sessions/situations.

4. Write an essay (2-3 pages) and put it to the box below. Please name your file with your own name.
