Wood studio Period III Spring 2019
600 X 600 Ceramics & Wood Play
The theme is to create a wooden element to an exhibition of Ceramics Design and Wood Studio.
The project will be carried out together with ceramics students with the lecturer Nathalie Lautenbacher.
Task

-The size of the element is 600 x 600 mm, height of the element is maximum 600 mm.
-The element must be freestanding and stable.
-Approach to design is free, we expect you “to push the limits” to find new aesthetic
and design ways to use massive wood material. Artistic? Acoustic? Wood and light?
-Our working method is learning by doing – also sketching by doing.
-Producing a lot of experiments is more than welcome.
Wood material to use
-Any local wooden material of massive wood, like pine, birch, spruce, larch, oak, etc.…
