GroupWork Submission (DL 15.10)
Here you will find group work assignment and group composition. Each group is formed by 3-4 students and all group work will be shared with your peers on 15.10.2020, on our last day of class. One submission per group.
Group 1 "PEDOT:PSS" by Tuomas, Juho, Huynh, Henri
Group 2 "FirPic" by Ulviyya, Yujiao, Muhammad, Olli
Group 3 "Ir(ppy)3" by Heidi, Satishwar, Aleksandr
Group 4 "P3HT" by Fowzia, Rafal, Camilla, Yetik
Group work can be of different form (presentation, poster, recorded lesson), but please be aware that whatever you will choose, you will have to be there during class and be ready for discussion.
Each group will be assigned a specific molecule and it is expected to teach about it the remaining part of the class about it.
Group work should include the following part (but not limited to)
1. General structure and key properties (optical, electrical, morphology, etc.) of the assigned molecule
2. Active role of the molecule in any of the organic device platform studied in class (diode, transistor, solar cells) and its possible field of applications.
A good place to start are recent review articles, the newer the better. When including information, include your resources (book, research papers, website, etc.) and always cite them.
Remember, that although Wikipedia might have extensive pages on many topics, this should NOT be considered as primary source of your information. Peer-reviewed documents are preferred (this does not mean that non-peer reviewed sources are forbidden, but be critical about what kind of information you are citing from which source).
Remember: ALWAYS CITE YOUR SOURCE
USEFUL TIPS:
Below you can find an interesting article on Guidelines and Suggestions for Making a Good Presentation by Prof. H. Saiedian (Kansas State University). Please consider that this could be good for both individual presentation as well as for the group work (and for any future presentation you will do)
Disclaimer: these guidelines are not strict, depending on the topic you may not be able to fill all of them and that is fine. If you are unsure, remember that you can always ask us for help.
