Final pitches (14.4 - IN PERSON)
Prepare a pitch of your novel value proposition for a defined target audience (e.g. a specific customer, CEO, politician, investor, etc). Use the pitch storyboard as inspiration, but feel free to adapt it to your needs. You can use visuals, roleplay, slides, or other aides to support your presentation. If you want to use visuals, you should add them to these Google Slides.
Consider the following questions in preparing your pitch:
- Current situation. Why is your idea important? What is the problem you tackle?
- Future. How does your idea work? What are the main features?
- Beneficiaries. Who will benefit the most from this change?
- Traction. What are your recent achievements, progress?
- Vision. What does your idea ultimately contribute to?
- Roadmap. What are your next steps?
- Hurdles. What are expected barriers, and how will you tackle them?
- Champion. What makes you the right persons for this initiative?
- Call to action. What exactly do you want from your audience, and why?
You will have 6 minutes in total for the pitch, so be concise and specific. Although covering all elements is important for the flow, you don’t need to go deep into every question. Consider what is most important for the message you are trying to convey. After the pitch, it should be clear what the value proposition is, to whom it is targeted, and why it is an exciting opportunity for the target audience.
