In this lecture we studied:

Limits and continuity of functions of several variables.

We reviewed the notions of limits and continuity of functions of 1 variable. We introduced limits of functions of two variables. We noted that, for two variables, there are infinitely many paths along which a point can be approached. We can not show that a limit exists by testing paths, but we can show a limit does not exist by finding paths with different limits. We state the ''Squeeze Theorem'' to show that a limit exists. We introduced the notion of continuity for functions of two variables.

The notions studied in this lecture can be found in section 12.2 of Adam and Essex’s Calculus book (seventh edition).
