PEER FEEDBACK (A2)

STEP 1  (5 min) Read the text and identify the four moves in the situation-problem-solution-evaluation pattern.
Highlight and mark the number of each move: 
     1) present situation/current context, 
     2) ‘the problem’ or need related to that situation (the 'however’ fact)
     3) the solution (what does the writer propose?)  
     4) evaluation of the solution (what is its main benefit?).

                      Mark    +   , if the move is clear.
                      Mark    ?   , if you feel it should be clarified.

STEP 2 ( 5 min) Read the text and underline...

  1. any sentence or word that is hard to understand or may contain a grammar problem.
  2. any sentence that could be more "verb-based"
  3. any word or phrase that seems too informal for this text.

•   Finally, write one thing you liked about this problem-solution paragraph.

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the second text. Do you agree with the initial analysis? Anything that you would add? Write more thing that you think the author has done well. (10 min)

STEP 3 ( 10-15 min )  
  • Within the group, discuss all the texts, one by one, explaining your findings and sharing feedback.
  • How would you improve this introduction paragraph?
