The course final exam will be held on Thu 18.4 at 12:00 Otakaari 1, Y122 D-sali. The exam time will be 3 hours.

The exam will have 4 problems. Maximum points are awarded for answering each problem correctly. Answering a problem correctly also includes writing sufficient explanations for all the key steps, points may be deducted for missing details.

You are only allowed to bring writing supplies. Paper will be provided. Write your name and student number on each answer sheet.

For the exam, it is assumed that you remember the definitions for the following concepts as stated in the course. Any related theorems and their proofs are also good to know, but the exact formulations are not required to be remembered. The exam may have some results or new definitions explained in the problem sheet if they are to be used. Results stated in the lecture notes are freely available to be used even if not mentioned in the exam (unless it is explicitly forbidden in the exam problem).

For concepts with multiple alternative definitions (like the closure of a set), it is good to remember all the alternative definitions presented but the exam will usually specify which definition is required to be used.

On the week after the exam, there will be an opportunity to discuss your exam answers and course grade with Aleksis. The exact time this will be available will be announced later.

Students who are not able to attend the current exam should contact Aleksis by E-mail to discuss a makeup exam, which will be arranged some time in the near future.
