Electronics workshop
In this voluntary workshop, you will learn about electronics through hands-on prototyping. By attending all sessions 1,2,3 and by doing the homework or taking the advanced sessions you can earn 1 more credit as a part of PDP!
This workshop will be held on-site at Design Factory and it is highly recommended that you join us there. If for some reason you can not make it for the workshop on-site, you can join remotely but you WILL NEED to have the workshop materials with you. You can pick this up beforehand from DF by contacting Shreyasi at shreyasi.kar@aalto.fi . Putting the workshop kits takes time, so don't leave this for the last minute. Also for your best learning experience, please don't do a mix and match of attending remotely and being on-site on different days.
Please go through this video before coming to class -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mHLvtGjum4. There will be a quick fun quiz based on this.
- Session 1 on Monday, 22 November 13:00 -16:00 is about basic electronics, reading and assembling circuits, and soldering.
- Session 2 on Tuesday, 23 November 13:00 - 16:00 will be about sensors and Arduino programming, so take your laptop with you. Before coming to class, make sure you have the Arduino IDE downloaded. You can download it for your computer from - https://www.arduino.cc/en/software
- Session 3 on Wednesday, 24 November 13:00 - 16:00 will be about Internet of Things (IoT) and you will need to bring your computer with you.
