Opiskelija syventää näkemystään elokuvauksen metodien merkityksestä elokuvan tarinankerronnan aikatilajatkumossa.

Pohdintoja persoonallisen kuvailmaisun mahdollisuuksista.
Analysoidaan eurooppalaisen elokuvan persoonallisia aikatila jatkuvuuksia. Tutustutaan epäkorrekteihin kuvausmetodeihin ja pohditaan persoonallisen kuvailmaisun mahdollisuuksista.
Tarkastellaan elokuvaajan mahdollisuuksia synnyttää uudenlaista rohkeampaa aineistoa ohjaajan käyttöön.
Analysoidaan art house käytäntöjä ja niiden toteutusmahdollisuuksia.

There is a change of plans
Methods of cinematography has been changed to course (that will be arranged during the same week) Visiting Cinematographer ELO-C4010. This due to the fact that we got a rare change to have Peter Flinckenberg from LA as a visitor.
From this course all participants will get total amount of 2 credits (as it would have been the case with Methods as well). Course will start on Monday at 9:00 in Otaniemi in Tuas building (Maarintie) in screening room Odeion. We will continue from Tuesday to Friday in Helsinki - Kanavakatu 12 SES-auditorium.
Teaching language English.

Peter will discus over the topics:
How you think studying in ELO effected to his occupation as a cinematographer?
What kind of expectations he had before Film School, development during the studies and eventually working in profession. How all these has modified his understanding of cinematographer's profession and his ability to cope in this profession?
Yet, this visit's main aim is on Peter's career as a cinematographer and different types of case studies as concrete examples of artistic and practical planning, execution and how to cope in different types of production environments (both in Finland and abroad). In addition to that he will also cover cultural- and production cultural differences between Finland and USA.

Kurssin suorituksen vaatimuksena on osallistuminen opetukseen ja työskentelyyn, joita ovat luennot, katselut, harjoitukset, sekä kirjallinen tehtävä.
Workload (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):
Luennot ja katselut 40 h. Opiskelijan itsenäinen työ 15 h.

Kurssien, Elokuvauksen Metodit 1 ja 2, hyväksytty suorittaminen.
