Learning Outcomes (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

This course is for Chinese learners who can understand intermediate texts in Chinese. The goal of the course is to enhance the students’ skills in both spoken and writing in Chinese. Students will learn intermediate level topics and learn to read and write advanced level work documents, business e-mail messages and are able to do independent research.

Content (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

Students learn more advanced Chinese reading and writing. Students are supposed to be able to demonstrate their knowledge of Chinese by writing a text on a given topic and giving a presentation related to it. Students learn more advanced grammar and can recognize and write more Chinese characters. Students will learn more Chinese culture.

Assessment Methods and Criteria (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

1. Lectures 48 h, active participation (10%) Mandatory attendance 80%.

2. Written assignments (20%)

3. Oral presentation (10%)

4. Oral exam (10%)

5. Written lecture exam (50%)
