SISÄLTÖ, ARVIOINTI JA KUORMITTAVUUS

Sisältö

• Voimassa 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

  You will get aquainted with traditional watercolour techniques that you will apply to contemporary watercolour painting scene and its current creative possibilities.

• Koskee tätä kurssikertaa:

  1st week	9.15-12.00 a.m	13.00-17.00 p.m
  Mon 05.08	Presentation of workshop. Information about materials and tools. Working in the neighborhood or Maarin ranta Studies from details.	Working in nature: Maarin ranta or in the neighborhood.   In case of rain, the thema will be: black, grey and white painting and the also the rain.
  Tue 06.08	Immaterial – Materia Working in natur ( Maarin ranta or the neighborhood). -exercises of watercolour Studies from shadows and reflections  / Beauty of the fleeting moment.	Pictureshow at 13   Around at 14- Variations from the paths and the stairs.
  Wed 07.08	Birchwood, serie of many watercoulors Maarin ranta.	At 13  Excurcion to Hanasaaren kultturikeskus—exposition Lars Lerin metro to Koivusaari, a 2km walk away -working in natur (Hanasaari or Koivusaari).
  Thu  08.08	World of  Transparency: Glass, studies from details.	continued
  Fri 09.08	Criticism at 9.15	Documents about life: Photo as one part in the watercoulour.
  During the weekend you could oriented with the thema of following week: Water and dreams or Secreted rooms of the memories   -painting in many parts -plan carefully the whole unity and the presentation of the work.

  Tue 13.08	continued	Somewhere else and here: black-white and colored part in same work –interaction with two pictures. -plane carefully the sizes of the different parts and their relation to the whole. orI and He / she- picture serie.
  Wed 14.08	Dark, dim and bright spac- state of mind, architectural painting, 3 works.	continued   Att.Teacher is absent p.m!
  Thu 15.08	Criticism at 9.15	Personal meetings with the teacher. -variations from paintings of old masters.
  Fri 16.08	Personal meetings continued	Presentation of artist´s books and workdiaries.
  During the workshop you can keep a workdiary or make the artist´s book.   Workdiary:   -write down your thoughts about watercolour. -think about ypur own way of watercolour. -make observations and notes about your own and others works. -tell about the processof your painting.   Artist’s book:   -theme is free, size is free. -possibility to use different materials, BUT the colour has to be watercolour.   ATT.   Materials and other tools
  

  1. Watercolours: Schminken or Winsor&Newton (pans or tubes).
  Russian watercolours can also be used!!
  

  Necessary selection of watercolurs: kadmium red, alizarin red / permanent
  carmin, kadmium yellow / cold and warm, ultramarin blue, cobolt blue,
  prussian blue.
  
  In addition you can buy for example magenta, quinacridone violet,
  yellowochre, cerulean blue, viridian / phthalo green and ivory black.
  

  2. Papers
  
  At TaiK you have watercolourpaper / Arches,180g.
  
  During the workshop you can use also other papers, but you must buy them
  yourself. You can try for example graphic papers.
  
  All kind of materialexperiments are allowed!
  

  3. Brushs
  
  Good, big enough watercolourbrush, ex. squirrelhaire brush.
  
  Martenhaire brush is very good, but expensive. Flat goathaire brush is good
  for washing.
  

  4. Spray-bottle for paper moisturing
  
  5. Natural sponge for paper washing
  
  6. Stanley-knife / cut-off knife
  
  7. Maskin fluid. Voluntary purchase! Cheap brush for maskin fluid.
  8. Notebook.
