CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    The students solve energy-related problems in interdisciplinary teams concerning the emergence of new innovations. The course requires active communication with companies and adopting an entrepreneurial mindset. In initiating the work, the students need to identify customer needs, the wider value chain and to pitch a project concept to the company. Development targets may include services, business models, technical solutions or prototypes and the final outcome will be a report and an accompanying presentation. Each group is assigned an instructor from the university. The course provides workshops to support the project development incorporating the best Aalto and external guest experts on different entrepreneurial and worklife skills.

In selecting students, we aim at a balanced distribution of students from different backgrounds: students from all the majors of the Advanced Energy Solutions MSc programme, exchange students and double degree students.
