LEARNING OUTCOMES

The students broaden their understanding of nonfiction animation. They deepen their knowledge of storytelling in documentaries and how animationexpands the range and depth of what documentary can show us about the world.

Content

    The course explores documentary animation; the ways in which animation is used in documentaries and how they create a narrative around a theme. The course highlights films that push the medium of animated documentary forward into exciting new territories.
