Content

    Ground investigations, stress distribution in the soil, calculation of settlements, bearing capacity of soil, stability, earth pressure, seepage, foundation methods including shallow foundations and piling, excavations, frost actions.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Lectures and exercises. Compulsory sessions, exercises and groupwork. Lecture tests.
