Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

- apply their awareness on the basic intercultural frameworks to understand aspects of cultures and their communication patterns

- recognize features of their own cultural values, assumptions and culturally specific behavior

- independently explore and analyze critical incidents in the social, professional or academic settings

- get familiar with the concept of adaptation process

Content

    This course will provide understanding of communication between people from different culture by introducing students to concepts and basic theories that influence intercultural communication and activates this knowledge through games, discussions and case studies. Topics covered include for instance culture, identity and communication patterns.
