Please note! Course description is confirmed for two academic years, which means that in general, e.g. Learning outcomes, assessment methods and key content stays unchanged. However, via course syllabus, it is possible to specify or change the course execution in each realization of the course, such as how the contact sessions are organized, assessment methods weighted or materials used.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After successfully completing this course a student has developed and realized a part of the collection designed during the Fashion Collection Design course.

They is able to manage the process of developing their designs into garments and is able to develop their design identity further through exploring the cut of garments. They has in-depth understanding of the interactions between material, shape and construction and expertise in creating silhouettes. They is fluent in experimenting with silhouette and cut and confident in finding working solutions that allow them to express their vision. They has embraced critical thinking in their design, detailing and construction of garments and engouraged to realize materials for their collection. They is able to integrate creative, research-oriented and technical viewpoint into garment construction. They is proactive in exploring innovative and sustainable technical solutions and recognize how to benefit from emerging technologies and craft.

Student is able to present their collection in a personal contemporary way and understand their positioning as a designer within industrial frameworks and future challenges in fashion field.
