After the Woodstudio Design Project-course the student is able to:
- Recognize Finnish wood materials used in cabinet making
- Understand the specific features of Finnish wood based materials.
- Analyze and experiment with wood material (through practical work).
- Recognize and produce artistic material-oriented design of wood.
- Produce prototypes in Wood workshop in 1:1 scale (independently).

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
-The contents vary annually depending on project assignments.
-The projects focus on innovative, high standard and comprehensive application of wood as a material.
Assessment Methods and Criteria
-Participation in briefing, project/practical assignment, tutoring sessions, and presentation of the results.

Independent study 220 h
-Will be given at the beginning of the project.
Substitutes for Courses
-The student should have the capability of independent work.
-Former experience in wood workshop is recommended.
