CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD
Content
Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:
We will work on a project formed together with students outside of university campus. We will explore new potentials in our environment for artistic practice to take place. We are working in inside the society to see how the surrounded situation resonates in our work and how is our practice resonating back. The end result of the course might be exhibition, event(s) or some other materialization in collaboration with actor outside of the university.

Experiments in Situation and Contextuality 20.4. – 19.5.2021
Three kilometers: South, West, North and East
In this course we are exploring the site, situation and context by adventuring the surroundings where one lives. The aim is to see what maybe stays invisible in our daily lives with routines and conventions of “living”. Using the experience, findings and visual/material thinking as a material to form something shareable is also an invitation to experiment with the possible forms of an art piece.
Make four about 3 km long lines on map to the South, West, North and East from the location you live (or work, or spend time). Each week you will make one walk and formone “piece” based on the materialcollected. The materialcan be drawings, photos, videoclips, found objects/materials, etc. Pay attention for different scales in relation to scale of you and the rhythm and the speed you are moving in the space. Consider what you pick to carry (metaphorically or literally) with you and what you leave behind. But first of all, pay attention what is out there!
The formcan be almost anything you wish to do: presentation, representation, performance, poem, installation but somehow shareable with the group.
