LEARNING OUTCOMES

After the course the student can list the most important Finnish environmental/spatial data sets, identify the difference between commercial and open data. The student knows INSPIRE.  The students identify the importance of metadata specifications of data sets and the generic description of data base design process as well as the role of spatial data bases in organizations. The student can access environmental/spatial data sets and identify the challenges in integrating data from different sources.
