LEARNING OUTCOMES

The students learn how to analyse and solve tax challenges faced by multinational companies and gain understanding of the role of taxation in their decision making process. This course advances students entrepreneurial mindset and prepares for various career paths benefiting from practical understanding of taxation as a fundamental element of any cross-border business operations.

Content

    The course focuses on selected topical issues of international corporate taxation such as dispute prevention and resolution, anti-tax avoidance rules, digitalization and corporate social responsibility. The students may participate in a half-day workshop where real-life international tax cases are solved and discussed in groups. 

Assessment Methods and Criteria

    Group work consisting of lecture journals (50%) and participation in the workshop or an essay (50%) according to the instructions of the teacher.

    Alternatively essay (100 %)
